I have now installed RC1. It installed OK, but Network Devices still doesn't recognize the WiFi NIC and KnetworkManager is nowhere to be seen. Forgot to mention, according to Software Management, NetworkManager-kde4-libs is installed. knetworkmanager as a program does no longer exist. Is plasmoid- networkmanagement installed ? If yes, then the plasmoid could be added as a standard plasmoid to the panel or in the systray.

According to rpm -qa, it's installed. However, I don't see how to add it to the panel. When I try to add a Widget, it's not there. Also, in every previous verion of openSUSE, it hasn't been necessary to add it to the panel. Even when setting Network Devices to use KNetworkManager, it still doesn't appear.
Further on this. In the add widgets, there's something called Network Management, but the icon is just a white "paper" with a question mark on it and the lower right corner turned up. It cannot be added to the panel, as other widgets can. As mentioned in another thread, even in the 315 beta Live CD, where the KNetworkManager did appear, it still wouldn't work with the Realtek WiFi. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
