You are not associated - look at iwconfig. The inet6 address is generated from the hardware address and does not imply communication with a DHCP server.

Is the radio blocked? That is the usual cause for the wireless option being grayed out in NetworkManager. Check that with '/usr/sbin/rfkill list'. You will probably have to install rfkill first.
