After changing the oss and non-oss repository of my openSUSE 12.1 M5 system to 
the factory ones, running "zypper up", and a reboot, kdm does not start 
anymore (there are no other repositories activated). Or rather it starts but 
it produces the error messages "X server died during startup" and "X server 
for display :0 cannot be started, session disabled".

Any workaround? nomodeset does not change anything, nor does SystemV or 
systemd.
