I have a nettop (asrock s330) running openSUSE 11.4.
When it boots on my console I get:
i8042: Failed to disable AUX port, but continuing anyway... Is this a SiS?
i8042: If AUX port is really absent please use the 'i8042.noaux' option
and then panics. I have attached a picture of the call trace.
Have you tried adding the i8042.noaux option to the kernel boot command
line?
