Why is there so much work needed for VMware? VirtualBox's kernel module is
already patched for kernel 3.1 in their latest release (4.1.2). All one needs
is
'make' and 'sudo make install'.
But kernel hackers consider VirtualBox "bad" while considering VMware
"good". I never quite understood why. The code is probably equally crap
and VBox is at least GPL (which VMware is not, IIRC).
