I've always used bleeding edged even at work where I needed 24/7 fully functionality. Except for the upgrade to Milestone 1 where I had to sculpt a workaround to get a desktop running on one box...
i'm doing the same, mostly, and am happy with it. if there isn't anything to fix or figure out in a long while i actually get bored. but that isn't applicable to everyone. particularly people who tend to complain when things don't work as they are supposed to should stick to stable or long time support versions. (as far as i remember, you don't all into that category.)
Wise words - stick to a stable version that works for the main workhorse and use a second box for testing before deploying a new version on the main box and then complaining. What I try to tell some guys who complain that this or that in a lowly Milestone doesn't work, shut up and file a bug. Someone has to ignore the warning label so the developers get their work widely tested and validated and that's the likes of us. I test and run the latest Milestone, vanilla kernels, NVidia drivers, VirtualBox, etc. so that I can report back problems and get them fixed well before the distro goes GM and then goes tits up for a lot of users who would justifiably lose all sense of humour.
