In general I add all packages known to be required for building your own live cd
 to the DVD, but I do not check if they are there - and surely not for pxe. 
So feel free to write such a script, you can even add it to the kiwi test suite,
 the DVD package list is available e.g. from 

http://www.gitorious.org/opensuse/package-lists/blobs/master/output/opensuse/dvd-x86_64.list
