Running Aurora under openSUSE 11.4 right now, once again release early
& release often, seems to be working!
I am using 8.0a1 on a x86-64 without any added things like libflash.so
/usr/lib64/browser-plugins and it is working with openSuSE default flash.so
It is faster also "about:plugins". I have added a line in
/etc/ld.so.conf.d for the libs which helps
from a xterm it also looks clean
:~> firefox
init windows
install addon
running on Linux
Thanks!
More on plugins.. on the beta - FF6 it scored 17/20, Java Console not
enabled, MD5 Reborned (replaced with alternative)& Download Helper.
So it seems like in general Add On authors are keeping up for most
part with the regular small changes. The beta was out just on Friday.
Not having Java Console is a feature.. right? :)
The about:memory page (lets you trigger Garbage Collection& a
Minimise Memory usage button), Navigation timing stuff is cool.
http:// vanishes and the site like "google.com" or "opensuse.org" is
highlighted with rest of URL faded.
And a cool touch for web designers is the "..." possibility for
over-flowing text.
q: FF crisis?
a: Wot Crisis!!!
This looks like it'll should be a good improvement for the "Beta" M6 -
"Faster, sleeker, better..."

Once other users try it out, it should resolve this issue about default
browsers.
Yes?
