since friday I am unable to install updates with yast or zypper...

i do not know exactly what happens...
initially i though is something silly like a corrupted database as
zypper se -is refused to return results for packages I was sure where
installed
and did
rpm --rebuilddb

that at least fixed zypper se -is

but still no luck with installing updates... zypper dup and up will
both download the packages but simple do nothing in the install phase.
the same is true for yast

here are the offending versions
