I'm not sure when the cutoff for opensuse 11.4 was, but
looking at the history for libevent, (http://monkey.org/~provos/libevent/)
release candidates for 2.0 started 2010-08-08 with 2.0.6 and ,
with a stable released on 2010-12-16.
It's now up to 2.0.11-stable, but OpenSuse 11.4 only has
version 1.l4.14, from 11 months ago (released 2010-06-07).
Is the cutoff window that long, or did it slip into a crack
or what?
Is libevent-2.0 scheduled for inclusion in OS 11.5?
With an 18-month release cycle, that will make it 37 months
or over 3 years, before a 2.x version would be available.
Is libevent-2 something that might be considered for backporting?
