longer a bit rotting comment and we stop recompressing tars - this was a

For all source files? How does that deal with snapshots from scm
and custom local source files? What is the actual benefit (apart
from knowing there is a file of the same name somewhere on theWe would validate more than the name - and that would make sure you can't
net)?
