No I intentionally didn't. It's not that I could not make it to upgrade with some fiddling - the point is that for the average guy it won't work out. Another user on that ticket could also reproduce this behaviour.
Maybe the problem is more with the most recent 11.3 updates that with the 11.4 repo.
