Hello developers,
I hope this bug will be fixed in time.
Just in case people do not understand what my problem is. Here are the screen-shots i (get lucky in time) can show you that my computer was getting boot-down because of over-heat, after making a (USB) 3G mobile broad connection (sorry for bad title of this thread because i was in a hurry ): Picture-0: My computer is still off-line, do not connect to any network interfaces yet. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/QbtEggrbiHeMJiWjdUxR4A?feat=directlink Picture-1: My computer is now on-line, connects to 3G Modem interface (/dev/ttyUSBx). https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/HscR6iO4eYBeW4Z8X6xGzg?feat=directlink Picture-2: My computer's temperature is rising, geting hotter, in about 2-3 minutes later (see KDE's Digital Clock, bottom-right corner). There are no other applications running except Konsole opening 4 tabs; Tab1. running 'tail -f /var/log/messages , Tab2. running 'top', Tab3. running 'powertop', and Tab4. running 'cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone/temp). https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/VPIhWqneQ_j15UexObIW_Q?feat=directlink Picture-3: I think the cause is something that triggers this high value in the powertop's table : https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/FRUR3NkYe9QTsXUUd4XiMA?feat=directlink or see my previous screen-shot: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/OeSVet7GuQLovgyVFgXzfQ?feat=directlink I think it is worth to fill new bug. Is it related to kernel or X server ? Thanks. Best regards, -- Andi Sugandi.
