The card is found as a Hauppauge 401 with BT878
From what I've seen here, there seem to be some locking problems (I guess due to the BKL removal work) in the 2.6.37 kernel with the bttv module, which is used for the BT878 chips. At least the kernel error messages I see at boot seem to tell a story like that, as I see stacks with some mutex, some v4l stuff and bttv scrolling by very fast when the kernel tries to load the TV card drivers (I have a BT878-based card as well). Interestingly, tvtime can later on start completely, though sometimes only at a second try.
