I've often wondered if feature freeze so early as it is made much sense WRT
the rapid pace of kernel development. It seems to me a later freeze for
kernels than generally would be reasonable. Shouldn't kernel RC2 release 6 or
more weeks prior to scheduled GA be enough?
Maybe distro releasing should be scheduled the other way around, picking a GA date that would pick up the latest kernel before the next reaches RC1?
