Version 11.3 Teal latest DVD and postgresql-8.4.4-2.3.i586 from openSuSE with and /etc/init.d/postgresql fail to bootup or run directly.

It even writes ~/data as /root/data. If it worked it should be (su - postgres) ~/pgsql/data. That is because postgres user has a home directory of /var/lib/pgsql

Include is a the message that comes at boot time. "pgsql.txt"

It is due to the 8.4.4 version only starting as postgres and not root. openSuSE during boot is root but postgres only like postgres user.
