Heya,
that's the usual, people don't want to loose their current workflow but noone invests anything into it, it's the same with KDE3, alot of loudmouths requesting a maintained repository but noone stepped up helping =/
Right, but that time nobody complained about losing sax2 with openSUSE 11.3. Best regards, Stefan

Hi
Since there hasn't been any single response to this email, this has happened right now (SR #40156).

Hi
I'm wondering whether our openSUSE community is interested into using and therefore fixing sax2. Currently there are two open issues. Both are kind of fatal and make the program more or less useless, especially the first one.
#596454 - SaX2 fails to write xorg.conf/aborts when starting test #596470 - 'sax2 -a' never terminates
In case nobody of our openSUSE community is interested into addressing that issue I'm afraid SaX2 needs to die already with openSUSE 11.3.
Deadline for a fix would be the deadline for Milestone 7, i.e. about Sun May 16.
And please remember the future development of SaX2 has already been discussed.

So this doesn't necessarily need to be done again. ;-)
