It has the same setting as it has in the working 11.2 partition, ie,Hey Carlos;
Just for a try see if /boot/grub/menu.lst has a "vga=" set. If
yes change it to "vga=ask" and boot up on it. I had a similar
problem. I never found the problem but I think it may have been
a lack of nouveau. Mine would just come up with huge letters
and then black.
