My tty1 works sort of 1. It has a bash or keyboard driver that does not work correctly. It seems to miss any back key and in seems to over type and not insert. 2. A YaST2 setup console mouse or gpm fails sometimes. It is started by /etc/init.d/rc3.d/S#gpm which is linked ../gpm after started sometimes it works and other it is just gone from the screen. This is an NVidia video card Also why do many of the source-devel packages seem to be missing files? Good examble is M% mysql and libmysqld.a On 04/19/2010 05:19 PM, Carlos E. R. wrote:

Are these ever supposed to happen? On my 2nd boot after dup from M4 to M5 I was away from the machine when boot completed. When I returned, the login prompt looked thus:
My tty1 does not work (M5).
