Thanks for nice reply,

Check the dmesg output for anything related to the radio kill

AFAIK, the iwl3945 NIC works in 2.6.33.

It certainly does, as i said:
To solve this issue, I should first: 'service network restart' ,
and then 'modprobe -r iwl3945 && modprobe iwl3945' .

It means iwl3945 works (it can connect to any Access Point), but not
automatically run well right after KDE 4 is up on openSUSE 11.3 M3.

I'll see the dmesg output then.

Thanks.

Best regards,

This also happens on a Dell Studio 1745 with Intel 5100bg using iwlagn
driver. Worked fine in 11.2 but not 11.3Mx. Seems to be a problem with
dhcp not finishing before wlan0 is brought up. Restarting network works
for me too.
