Hello,

Just a side comment about the fact that yesterday I "duped" my Factory
to latest Milestone and when rebooting nothing happens, both normal boot
or failsafe (dark screen).

A new install in vmware gives a blank screen even if there is just "init
3" issued from the boot screen.

Same here with my VirtualBox 11.3.

The only one which still starts is Milestone 0.

I did a 32-bit NET install with VirtualBox 3.1.2 hosted on 64-bit 11.2 with a
2.6.33-rc5 kernel. The CD image will not boot if the VM has too much RAM - 704
MB works, 736 MB fails, thus I used 512 MB to install. Once the installation
was
finished, it runs fine with 1024 MB. The KDE Live CD booted with 1024 MB, but
the installation failed to advance at the stage when it would be formatting
disks. I have not pursued that problem.

The platform/environment, I use is the same as yours; in my case the
difference is that I have not made a new install, but a distribution
upgrade.
The memory setting of VM could be a possible field of investigation, to
see if at least I will be able to start Milestone 1.

Tks,
Marco
