Thanks. I ended up just hard-coding a faster mirror instead of using download.opensuse.org.
Besides the slow, or unreliable, mirror should be reported as Stephan said, using mirror directly you quit using one important security feature that is available only when you use download.opensuse.org. See http://www.cs.arizona.edu/people/justin/packagemanagersecurity/ The repository and package metadata are delivered only from download.opensuse.org, so malicious mirror operator can't replace them with his version. Those repodata that you can find on mirrors are just convenience to cover situation when download.opensuse.org is down for some reason. -- Regards, Rajko OpenSUSE Wiki Team: http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team People of openSUSE: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE/About -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
