There was a refresh of the 64bit alpha plugin that was released on July 30.
I tried the 64-bit alpha version and it crashes firefox immediately upon loading Pandora, so it's useless for me. The good news is that after I tried that I dug a little deeper into the regular package. It turns out that libflashsupport was causing the problem. Sound works as expected and it doesn't seem to steal sound as I can play two things at once. I seem to recall reading somewhere else that libflashsupport was already scheduled for removal.
