Then you should change your job and go somewhere where you are able to
be rude to people without having a consequence on the people you work
for/with.

For years I was involved with a dork - and who managed to convinced
others to his way of thinking - that, because he (and others around him,
including me) were volunteers in running an organisation, those who
wanted to question what "we" did not have the "right" to do so because
they did not contribute to the "effort" being put out by "us"
volunteers; that if they wanted answers then they should damn-well 'pull
their finger(s) out' and come and *CONTRIBUTE* to what "we" were doing!
(Shades of what Sven and others are putting about, eh?)

My response to this was always, "Nobody asked you to volunteer. If you
don't like the situation then bugger off and let someone else do your
"job"."

I volunteered (for various positions in various organisations - from
Committee Member to Secretary to Treasurer). And to me, if a job is
worth doing then it is worth doing well. When I felt that I had had
enough, I stopped being a volunteer ad let someone else take over my
position.

I volunteered for my position. I gather that you are being paid for your
position. If I am wrong then give up your volunteer position and let
someone else do it who is more robust. If you are being paid then pull
your finger out and earn the money you are being paid to promote the
company you work for.
