to keep the last kernel around, that feature has been present for
quite some time now.


I *know* about keeping the previous kernels and do it for safety's
sake. If I don't have problems after some time, I remove the 4th back
just for space.

What I wonder is how to make the *new* kernel active w/o rebooting?
