Even if we do. You may be able to do the update, reasonable easy, but even so, things do fail after any update. Configuration changes, new bugs, new ways for old things to work... after installing/upgrading there is always a chance for things to fail. Having a shorter life cycle means we have to do this chore more often... with more chances at failure per unit of time. And a responsible sysadmin will have tested the new version with all needed services previous to the upgrade on at least similar hardware. Thats work more often --> more work.
