[opensuse-factory] m5 & Intel GM965, what was the trick to get X to work?

All,
I just zypper dup'ped a 11.1 laptop to the latest (m5).
And now init 5 seems to be basically ignored. init 3 is working fine.
I've got a Intel GM965 so I tried:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528397#c3
but that had no effect. I'm pretty sure someone here had posted a
different solution.
