I can confirm with 11.1 and XOrg repository, self compiled 2.6.30.2 kernel and 
stock update 11.1 kernel both failed with the same result, blank screen and no 
way to switch to text console or kill the X-Server. Intel X4500HD integrated 
here.

Can't do further testing though as I switched back to 11.1 xorg now.
