I am running factory x86_64 and have a few packages installed that
depend on gnome packages and I assume this has caused the gnome option
to be installed in the login screen. I don't think you will find a fix
as it's obviously a bug that allows the gnome option when no gnome
desktop is available. Do you have kde4.3 on your system possibly or do
you have a standard 11.1 system? I can't remember this existing on my
original 11.1 before I continued onto factory. I only noticed this when
I was trying to find out if kde systems were preventing a package from
working properly.
