Marcus,

        Of course it isn't official, it is the semi-official subpixel repo that 
Novell steered everyone to so that subpixel hinting could be enabled while 
doing the wink and dance around the potential clear type license violation 
before Novell made a deal with the devil. We all know what the repo is. Now how 
do I fix the cairo package problem? Is this a bug or is this automatically a 
"WONTFIX"?
