Listmates, I have been trying to figure out what is going on with kicker while compiz is running on 4.3beta1. I have it set to autohide and it seems like the panel just gets "stuck" hidden from time to time. I say stuck because when I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, I can see the panel "shadow" or "glow" appear across the edge of the screen, but no matter how many times I bounce the mouse against the bottom edge, the panel will not unhide. Now when this occurs, if I deliberately change the focus to some other place, like inside a window (kwrite, firefox, whatever), then the panel will unhide like normal. So with compiz running, the "focus" gets lost or stuck somewhere until it is force back to a known location. Almost like the present focus location is stored in some array and somebody is counting from 1 instead of zero and when the focus window is the zero element, the panel is stuck and won't work. I don't know, that is just a wild guess, but the focus is stuck somewhere that is preventing the panel from unhiding. Does anyone have any ideas about what to check on this one?
