There was a known regression in 4.2.86's IMAP, wait for the next 4.3 beta.  
Oh and you'll have to delete your IMAP cache 
($KDEHOME/share/apps/kmail/imap) to get rid of the broken mails, after 
updating.

This seems like a good time to remind people that Factory is unstable and 
may eat your data.
