Thanks for providing this data, Stephan. I think it would really help
to move the applications (in fact: completely remove them from FACTORY)
as to reduce duplication and confusion.

I can see why you are saying that. It's not going to be a sustainable
approach in the long term, though, and even KDE 4.3 Beta is a significant
improvement over previous 4.x releases.

(I have been testing different desktop environments in the last couple of
weeks and will say that all of them have room for improvement from a user
perspective.)
