Hey openSuSE factory;

I have version 11.2 and KDE.  The problem is why does SuSE make all sound 
devices fail to work for users?  I have tried kradio with root and it works as a 
user it fails.  Skype, amarok and kdetv all fail as a user.  I did get amarok 
using Yast2 rpms to work with amarok-xine and yauap (which fails to hold the 
volume correctly on startup).  I have even set permissions to 666 on /dev/dsp 
and for Skype a entry in /etc/services.  Kradio complains about no dev/radio as 
a user.  Kdetv fails for root and a user.  And Yast2 did setup the TV Card and 
radio.

Not to mention xine blows up on a mounted known good non encrypted movie DVD " 
mount /dev/sr0 /media/sr0 "
