If you would like a Qt4 based image viewer then AFAIK Gwenview should be the
default for KDE4.

Hi,

Ristretto is just plain, simple, scalable, simple zoomable, and for all
very fast.
Gimp is like opening photoshop to vieuw one picture...
To vieuw a pic, you need a vieuwer, not a manipulator.. ;)
(gimp takes ages to load, cluttering the screen with unnessesary
windows...)
I guess you all know that, and it wil be build problems or something,
and it will be back soon?

For which desktop?

In GNOME, as far as I can tell, eog is used by default, and not gimp.

Vincent

If you'looked at the sig, you'd known it was:.... ? :)

Eye Of GNOME is the default image viewer for GNOME and there's no reason
to replace it. If I remember correctly the default under KDE is
Gwenview, and again it works fine (at least for me :) ).

When complaining of an issue like this, please advise us on what your
environment is - even if it means saying something like "please see sig
for environment".

Ristretto is actually an XFCE sub-project although as it is Gtk based it
works seamlessly with GNOME. Why would you want a Gtk based app replace
a Qt4 app in a KDE environment?

Andy

That i did not know, but explains why it is not choosen now: i did not
install xfce yet...!
I will try what happens when i install xfce..
Well, i would like a qt4 based app, if it works fine..
I never saw ristretto before my original and now, wrecked 11.2A0
install, which i replaced with the last netinstall snapshot.
