There is the opensuse-kernel@xxx mailing list which all the kernel
team is subscribed to (I believe). IIRC there was a discussion on
there about the splitting of the kernel if you check the archives.

ummmm, 'kay, thanks for the quick hint
guess, i need to take a look at all those rpm parameters maybe i can
find out which rpm package needs which other and how this all works.
still a document or a discussion thread about kotd would also be
usefull. or is there a separate opensuse mailnglist that also handles
the kotd ones?
