hi there,

i am wondering why i have there kernel rpm packages installed on my
opensuse 11.1 system? i think it used to be only one kernel rpm
package still back in opensuse 11.0

atm i have:
kernel-pae-base-2.6.27.7-9.1
kernel-pae-extra-2.6.27.7-9.1
kernel-pae-2.6.27.7-9.1

and i wanted to fool around with kotd a bit.
i suppose i need to look at the "pae" named rpm files in
http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/SLE11_BRANCH/i586/

in what way and in what order do i apply those newer pae rpm packages
from the kotd directory above? its been a while since my last manual
kernel package installations.
is there any current howto or best-practices document about opensuse
kernels as of 11.1 or factory? i dont seem to find any kind of kotd
documentation and i fail to find about the reason and origin why we
are having three kernel packes in 11.1 installed.

thanks for pointers explanations.
