Hello,

peter nikolic írta:
11.1 shipped, how can it be removed after the fact?

greg "no time machine here" k-h

Very simply by issuing updates that use packages with the silly dependencies
removed so that offensive software can be FULLY removed or is that too hard
Pete .

I have one little PA related rpm left on the system, and it does not
seem to hurt anything if the rest of the suite is not installed:

bigone111:~ # rpm -qa | grep -i pulse
libpulse0-0.9.12-9.6

I did not report on bugzilla, as there were already some reports there,
and also the advice on this list, that removing PA solves most sound
related issues. So I removed it right after the first problem appeared,
and never had a sound related problem again :-)

Personally I'd give it a second chance as part of the default install,
but also a knob in yast2 sound, so it could be easily disabled/removed,
without using a package manager.
Bye,
CzP
