You shouldn't have to do anything. Upon installation of 11.1, and the
subsequent first update, smolt should automatically do the process for
you. That's what happened with both of my machines. Did you not see a
smolt notification when you did your first system update?
No. I've only got 1 machine with a 11.1 install, and I got TinyWM
instead of KDE3. So, I haven't bothered to fix it yet. I have a
