Totally unbelievable......

Well going by the LWN article, the reason would be, so we can adjust
the volume of individual applications, which is a nice feature, that
I've been able to do on M$ Vista for example.

We can? I started this because I don't see a mixer in KDE4... not
per-application neither global.
