Has anyone else noticed that Kaffeine is "broken," that is - after updates awhile ago it's "busted" and won't play DVDs....BOTH 11.0 and 11.1?! I have packman at priority 120....still it's broken.
Thanks,
Fred
Priority 120 is a low priority, 1 is a high priority if opensuse repo priority is a lower number than 120 then you would have ended up with the wrong kaffeine. You can use the version tab in yast to see which version is to be installed and control this by checking the radio button ( circle with dot) next to the version you want. Another trick is zypper dup -r nameofpackmanrepo which will replace suse versions with packman versions. Don't forget libdvdcss in videolan. Wonderful....one would think 120 would be a "higher" priority than 99. Somehow I missed that little "gem." :(
Thanks, Dave.
Fred
Never heard of being number one? It is documented in the side bar when setting up repos.
Sometimes we don't read the notations as we should.....I didn't. As it turned out, after a 116 file update, it wasn't Kaffeine but another file...don't know what it was that fixed the problem. There wasn't a Kaffeine download. Fred -- "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
