Hello everyone,
I have a fresh installation of 11.1 RC1 64-bit. The installation goes
great, as does the loading screen after installation. Once it gets to
the desktop, however, my display (Samsung 40" 1080p HDTV) goes blank
and displays "mode not supported".
It's a known bug, there is no interest of fixing it....

But you can get it working by manually editing your xorg.conf file.
I was actually able to fix this by doing "aticonfig --initial" after
installing the ATI drivers. This is a newbie mistake that I should
have caught, but little things like this slip by me from time to time.
Is this using the opensuse "radeonhd" driver or the ATI fglrx driver?
