Regarding this, I have found a relevant bug

It seems that ark/kde4 lacks the --extract and --extract-to arguments.
One possible solution would be having both kde3/ark (just for the
extract and extract here menus) and kde4/ark for the rest. It is
gap.to late to fix this I guess.While this is still not implemented in KDE4, there is a nice add-on in
packman repository called 'kde4-ExtractAndCompress' who fill this
