So is there a way for me to test if the problem still appears?

As I wrote earlier, the problem does not appear with all repositories -
for example, I tried adding the factory repo and it worked, I guess
adding KDE/UNSTABLE or something similar from download.opensuse.org will
work as well. So please, could someone test if updating to packman
packages is possible with kupdateapplet?
