So, Today I updated to the newest openSUSE beta 5 (this seemed to be a second sync of Beta 5, as I installed beta 5 over the weekend also).. Well, the only problem is this beta 5 sync has really sunk my NVIDIA. The NVIDIA install goes fine (or so it seems, it's about 70% quicker then the previous beta 5.. which makes me wonder if it actuallly installed right).. but then when i start an x session.. the Nvidia logo also just flashed by really quick (again, used to stay up for a while). I've lost all the compiz / 3d abilities.. (these were't updated).. My only guess is that the update of the kernel to: 2.6.27.5-2.2 has killed it.. (I've tried rebuilding about 5 times.. still to no avail.. even created -custom .. to use with the kernel.. still no go). the previous version that was in beta 5 (the original sync.. I believe was: 2.6.27-2.1 or 2.6.27.5-1.x) which worked just fine.. attached is a list of all the pacakges installed.: Only 23kb that's why I attached.. Please does anyone see another package in there, that could have potentially caused the issues? Anyone else experiencing it? I've tried the 177.80 and the newly released today 177.82 drivers. Thanks.
