I did manage to find codecs for 11.1, but NOT mplayer, smplayer, nor kmplayer. Kaffeine can't play any movies...needs more than just the codecs. Is mplayer compiled for 11.1 and hiding where noone can find it, or isn't it done yet? Multimedia is one of those things that had better be working very well before release and it's not at this point.
Don't expect everything ready for 11.1 at this moment. 11.1 is not yet released to the public, so don't worry :) .
Of course, but I'm looking to test.

Fred, I suggest that in the first instance you download the DVD and install 11.1 Beta 4 from it. It's a lot easier than doing so from the CD Live. Secondly, enable the packman repo from the list of repositories. Then you have to manually add the videolan repo: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/SuSE/11.1 There is now also a new file which is needed to play DVDs/TV: libxine1-codecs so search for this (in software management) and select. You will also find Mplayer which you are after.
