In 11.1 Beta4 there's a lingering problem from prior releases that won't allow you to disable a touchpad. Now, some like them...I DON'T! In 11.0, you could edit the xorg.conf file so you could turn it off in the command line or add to your .profile script. Now, that isn't possible, or I haven't figured out exactly what needs to be put in there. What SHOULD happen is the ability to turn it off in Yast and have it work. You can make that choice, but it won't turn the sucker off!

+1 Indeed very disturbing: try to use a mouse when it is still working :))
Just for curiosity: What seems to be the problem? I have openSUSE 11.0 on an Eee PC 900 and I'm using the touchpad when a mouse is not available. I hate touchpads, so I plug in a USB mouse whenever possible. The patch still works if I touch it (I do sometimes) but most of the time I don't. It gives me zero problems except that I don't like to use it, although this one even supports gestures and all... -- Vahis http://waxborg.servepics.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
