The problem is that the win codecs were added, which requires a cost.
Now, does that mean that you have to have the codecs to get the
player?  I dunno.  Quite honestly, I have never found realplayer to be
a very useful program.  I prefer MPlayer.  Just my humble opinion.

I grant that.  However, like with all things(especially the KDE
stuff), shouldn't we try to improve instead of berating?  You've found
out that something was dropped without a reasonable amount of notice.
Let's bring this to the attention of the community so that we can try
to keep something like this from happening again.
