Rather pop up a dialog - if the hibernation is triggered from the desktop. 
If it comes from a command like "powersave -U" it has to be forced (it may 
come from low UPS battery alarm). Same for low battery. Also to consider 
is if the user closes the lid of a portable, I think it should be forced, 
or give a loud audible warning.

And all this should be configurable by root via Yast.
