Anyone done a clean install of 11.1 beta 3? Any issues to report?

Clean install went fine. Only thing, i tryed to add Thunderbird to
packages, that make Yast crash. But with default packages, everything
went fine.

Don't use the standard Search in Software Management to find and add an
application which you need - this causes YaST to come up with an
(Segmentation) error message (and "crash").

Use the Package Filter or Patterns under the Filter option and then go
looking for the package you want - select it and YaST will install it.
(Or else use "zypper install <package_name> from the command line as
root to install the package.)

Ciao.

Tried to upgrade from 11.0 and ended up with a grub prompt and couldn't
get past the prompt. Anything entered including just a return gave an
error that (poor memory here) the image was too large.

Tried fresh install and so far the only _very_ annoying bug is the
hostname keeps getting reset to the default name of linux every time the
network is restarted.

SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998

Also updated 11.0 to 11.1 B3 updater reports no backend installed when
using KDE 3.5.10 as suplied on the disc but seems ok KDE 4.1.* whatever
working networking updated OK host name OK suspend not working
pluging in my external usb drive caddy causes a lockup on 11.1 B3 and by the
way causes a kernel panic and crash on the latest 10.3 kernel fine on
previous kernels so also a kernel issue

not reported yet waiting to see if it is reported by anyone else .
